Following Sentamu’s attack on gay marriage, UHASSO has today warned religious leaders that their words will travel and may be used to promote an agenda beyond their intended purpose.

Belief in a divine Saviour  is neither necessary nor sufficient to being a good person, nor to fight the corruption in society. So says a Christmas message published today from the Uganda Humanist Association.

The Uganda Humanist Association stands for the dignity of all human beings and for the importance of human rationality. We object in the strongest possible terms to the promotion in the media of so-called witchdoctors.

Last weekend, Uganda hosted the first East Africa regional meeting of the International Humanist and Ethical Youth Organisation (IHEYO).

UHASSO member organisation HALEA, the Humanist Association for Leadership, Equality and Accountability, recently launched their new publication, Open Talk Magazine. And it’s a magazine with a difference!
